In 1963, jazz pianist Mal Waldron suffered an almost fatal collapse that erased his memory and ability to play the piano. He slowly regained his skills by listening to his own records and studying all his previous work.
The Windows Became A Glass Drum intertwines the story of Waldron, the artist and two pianists, each in different stages of remembering and forgetting 'All Alone' - the title track on Waldron's first record after recovery.
